Leisure Publishing is the publisher of Town & Country News, the local area’s largest-circulation free publication.
Leisure Publishing was set up in 1989 to publish what was then ‘Broadland Community News’, a monthly with a distribution of a few thousand copies, centred around Stalham. From initial success the paper soon grew, and after several years of expansion its distribution area incorporated North Walsham, Wroxham & Hoveton, Aylsham, Cromer, Sheringham and Holt, and much of their surrounding areas, and the paper changed its name to Town & Country News.
The company was taken over by its current two business partners, Keith Storey and Laurence Watts, in December 2000. Both were former employees, Keith having worked for Leisure publishing from its inception, and Laurence having joined in 1996. They have kept the traditional values that the company has always followed, which are to offer an excellent product and give honest, personal service to its customers.
